The Power Returns

The Opportunity:

Revive He-Man for a new generation without losing the passionate, nostalgic fanbase

My Role:

Creative strategy, brand system development, campaign direction, social strategy, experiential concepting, franchise partnership direction

The Results:

Reignited the brand and sales with a successful franchise relaunch across products, content, and experiences for kids and adults, including two hit Netflix series and an upcoming live-action film

He-Man is one of the most recognizable characters in pop culture — and one of the most complicated to revive. Lean too nostalgic and you alienate everyone who didn't grow up with it. Lean too modern and you lose the fans who kept the flame alive for 40 years.

We had to thread that needle for an audience that would immediately know if we got it wrong.

The strategic decision was to put collectors first. If we could make the most passionate, most critical fans believe in this revival, the mainstream would follow. That meant collectible-first product design, visual language that honored the original aesthetic while pushing it forward, and a social voice irreverent enough to prove we understood the fandom — not just the IP.

We built a new logo system. Developed an integrated campaign strategy across social, content, and experiential. Created fan-first activations that rewarded deep knowledge — including a Skeletor-led scavenger hunt that sent fans on a multi-stop chase through physical and digital spaces.

The franchise launched alongside a hit Netflix series and a live-action film now in development. He-Man didn't just return — he evolved. And the fandom that never left finally had something to rally around again.
